Latchkey is a state licensed before and after school child care program for TCN enrolled students in grades K-8.  Our purpose is to provide quality care for children of working parents in an educational and safe environment.  The program is a self-supporting program, meaning they receive NO money from the school district.  The program operates solely on the money parents pay for childcare and by donations.

 

Latchkey is based within the elementary building in room N109.  From time to time, the program will be held in other designated areas such as the multi-purpose room, library or the playground.   When this occurs, signs will be posted notifying parents of their child’s location.

 

The Tri-County North Board of Education recognizes the need for this service and therefore is committed to make available this service to the community.   Extensive research has been done and the following information has been determined:

 

Morning Session:  6:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

Afternoon Session:  2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

 

Latchkey will be open only on days when school is in session.

 

Latchkey services will be available during normal hours on delays or early dismissals.

Latchkey will NOT be open when school is closed due to inclement weather.

 

Initial family registration fee:  $20.00

Returning family registration fee:  $15.00

(registration fees are non-refundable)

 

Hourly rate:  $4.00/hr. for the first child

          $3.50/hr. for the second child

          $3.00/hr. for the third child and each child thereafter

 

You are billed in 15 minute increments and will be billed weekly.  Payment is due within three (3) days of receipt of the bill.  Unpaid accounts will result in suspension from the program until the balance is paid in full.  Severe overdue accounts will be sent to collections.
